Tony Launi and Innisfil Indy Karting launches their new chassis at the 2007 Nationals!
Innisfil Indy Karting comes out with their exciting announcement just in time for this premier event.
Frank Launi will be behind the wheel of his #29 GP Shifter Chassis and #4 Sr. Rotax Chassis for one of the biggest karting events of the year, to be held in Hamilton, Ontario from August 8th-August 12th.
The decision was made just last month by Tony of CMP Motorsports/Innisfil Indy Karting, to take on an additional chassis and after several conversations, Beppe Cavaciuti, owner of GP Racing and Tony Launi, owner of Innisfil Indy Karting and CMP Motorsports, came together to make this happen.
Beppe and his crew will be arriving from Italy to join the team for the week of the Nationals, and Frank will enjoy the experience and skills of Beppe's son, as he takes on the job of head mechanic for this exciting event.
Innisfil Indy Karting/CMP Motorsports has enjoyed the success it has experienced with the CMP chassis for the past nine years and is excited to add this new chassis, made by CRG in Italy that has also experienced multiple successes in the 12 years that it has been running.
Frank looks forward to this year's race at the Nationals in his new kart, and CMP Motorsports/Innisfil Indy Karting looks forward to their new endeavor with the GP Chassis.

Tony & Rosa decide to go on a karting safari in Africa , taking their faithful aged poodle Cuddles, along for the company.
One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies and before long, Cuddles discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.
The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep doo-doo now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?"
Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!", says the leopard, "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!"
Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard.
The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!
Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?", but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says.
"Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard!
Moral of this story....
Don't mess with old farts... age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!
Real brilliance only comes with age and experience.

LAUNI'S MAKE US PROUD NATIONALS WEEKEND!
The Nationals started off with a bang on Wed. with Stefano Romano, Frank Launi, and Zach Boam, all in the top 20 during practice, with Frankie showing the fastest on the field of 46 drivers. -- On Thursday, the morning was good, but with the afternoon came the rain, and the GP/CMP drivers decided to take a break from the on track practice to work on their kart set up.
On Friday, the problems started for Zach, when the kart just would no longer work with him. Zach ended up trying his hardest to make it work, but by Sat. his weekend was over. Congratulations to Zach for not giving up! -- Stefano was on a role until he tried to avoid a spin and ended up back in the pack. Then on Sat. after his clutch went, he ended up at the back for the pre-final on Sunday morning. Stefano ended the final race on Sunday working his way up from the back of the 34 karts, to finish 13th, in his new GP Kart. Congratulations to him for an awesome race!
The highlight of the weekend came for Frankie on Sun. Frankie started in the12th position for the final in his #4 GP Kart, and raced his heart out for the full 22 laps.

The support for Frankie was overwhelming with many Innisfil Kart Club members as well as drivers and mechanics from many other teams, there cheering him on.
When Frankie took to the podium for this 2nd place trophy amongst the clapping and cheering, it was certainly a proud moment for Tony and Joe Launi, as well as the owner of GP Karting and his son who had flown in

from Italy on Wed. to support our team.
GP Karts, a 2nd chassis for Innisfil Indy Karting, certainly proved themselves at the 2007 Nationals, and will show what they have again in less than 2 weeks in Mosport.
We would like to thank ASN Canada FIA, and the Cameron Motorsports team for an amazing week, and look forward to the 2008 Nationals in Quebec.

GP KARTING AND INNISFIL KART CLUB ROCKS THE HOUSE IN GOODWOOD!
Taking home a 2nd, a 3rd and the Team Award on Sunday
A lot could be said for the spirit that Innisfil brings to an event, as the award goes to IKC members for the loudest cheers on Sunday, at the final SRFKC event at Goodwood.
The Sr. Rotax final race was quite the show, with Frank Launi, GP Karting owner and driver, and Stefano Romano making us all proud with their 2nd and 3rd place finishes.
On Saturday, Matthew DiLeo took to the track for his 2nd ever Jr. Heavy SRFKC race, and his friend Andrew Waring joined him. Mackenzie Clare, had trouble with his F1K and had to come off halfway through the final, ending his season on a sad note, but along with Matthew DiLeo, has shown a tremendous improvement in their driving skills this year, and will be the ones to watch in 2008, when they take to the track in their Jr. Rotax karts. In the Senior class, Brian Walsh and Rudy Aguiar also struggled, but again, IKC proves it has the stamina to keep going, and both drivers were satisfied at the end of the day.
On Sunday, during the Sr. Rotax race, the pressure was on for Paul Carvalho in his new GP Kart, Adriano Bilotta, and Zach Boam, but all three had problems in the final. Zach went home with a bent kart, Adriano went home with a sore arm, and Paul broke a chain. Michael Glaze, in Jonathon Treadwell's Rotax, showed he had what it takes, and ended his day quite satisfied.
In the Jr. Rotax, Joey Haynes and Andrew Waring represented IKC and CMP, and as usual made us all proud.
John Park came out for his first SRFKC event, and raced his Jr. Lite kart. While struggling with an ill engine, John did very well for his first National race, and looks forward to returning next year.
The highlight of the day for all was the announcement that GP Karting, a new company recently started by the Launi's, had won the Team Award, presented at the podium ceremonies. The cheering was loud, the smiles were huge and Tony and Frank Launi showed their pride on their faces as they posed with Ron Fellows to receive their award.
Watch for GP Karting to show their strength again next year!
